That may be the reason why I am so obsessed with them, and why I purchasing all the stamping plates with palm leaves/trees as soon as I spot them. I have so many that some of the plates are still wrapped in protective film, as I did not have chance to use them this year. There is always a next year, but something tells me that there may be some new plates out, which I will "need" to have...
In any case, I started with vertical gradient using Picture Polish - Chillato (turquoise), and Lime Lite (neon green). Even though it looks like there is little to no difference, I absolutely loved the subtle effect, and it looked like there is a glow somewhere underneath my nails.
Over that, I did some double stamping. Double stamping is my favorite technique, and it gives everything so much depth. Usually I stamp with darker color first, to give it almost a shadow effect, but this time I went first with the white, then deep metallic green. I love how it looks like all the trees are bathed in light, and shimmer in the deep green also gives it extra dimension.
All I needed is to add few birds with the fine brush, and tropical paradise feeling was totally there!
Palm tree images are on Born Pretty - Tropical Punch - L005 stamping plate, and I just added the trees the way I wanted them.
I just read that we will have one of the warmest (if not warmest) Labour Day Weekends, and we can expect the temperatures to say in mid 30* C! That is as hot as it gets in September!
With that warm thought, I will bid you good bye, and hope to see you all tomorrow.
Cheers!
