Polish Pick Up is a monthly collaboration of indie polish and products based on a chosen theme.
March theme is Album Covers.
The polishes are available the first Friday - Monday of each month for pre-order purchase.
for the month of March, pre-orders are available between March 1st-4th. Be aware that some or the contributions are coming in limited quantities, and they are sold on first come, first serve basis.
The polishes are shipped together, for one low flat rate price of $3 (U.S. orders) or $5 for Canadian orders. This is fantastic way to try new brands for one flat shipping rate. Shipping can be the most costly part of the orders, and more than once I emptied my basket because of it.
Orders are automatically combined and shipping on multiple orders refunded.
Lucky 13 Lacquer IPU is Panic! at the Disco Lotion of Immortality trio (plus shimmer)
I love those lotions, as they leave your skin soft and silky. They are absorbed quickly, and scents are absolutely to die for! Here is a quick introduction into the scents.
Far Too Young To Die is described as:
One last kiss with a bouquet of flowers and incense. Includes notes of nag champa, jasmine, rose and orchid.
Out of three, this is the strongest, and longest lasting scent. I could smell all of above mentioned, and very clean incense. It reminded me of the baby powder, but more refined.
Very calming, classy scent.
Girls Love Girls and Boys is described as:
Just give in the strong oak, sweet pears and lilies. Includes notes of apples and sandalwood.
This is definitively fruity scent, much softer than the first one, but as soon as I applied it, first association with the scent was - Pinacolada. Not sure why, as there was no coconut or pineapple scent in there.
Lost in dream of peach, berries and Lemon Drop cocktails! Includes notes of lemongrass and bright citrus.
Out of three, this was favorite of mine, and won according to my coworkers by landslide!
Deliciously citrusy, totally Lemon Drops that is so fresh and invigorating, that when fades a bit, leaves a soft, peachy scent. If Anya would make a batch of this, I could move it faster than you can say Lemon Drops!
Last one in the line is Shimmer That You Love:
A blend of silver and red-copper-gold color-shifting shimmer. Skin, lip and eyelid safe.
Stir a tiny scoop into your Lotion for the shimmer every time you use it, or use a makeup brush to apply the shimmer directly to your skin.
Tiny scoop is included.
I never reviewed the shimmer/powder that is not nail related, and when it comes to makeup, I am at loss to say it mildly.
I wore more makeup when I was 18, than in last 10 years together!
Mostly because of the allergic reaction to the products, and then just environmental allergies made me makeup shy. I just wear little bit of blush (I am usually deathly pale), and little bit of neutral lipstick, that I have to admit, keeps my lips pretty soft and moisturized.
Full make up did not happen in the long time here, and I actually did my version of full make up for this shimmer.
I tried to swatch it on my arm as I seen ladies on IG do it...
That prompted me to use it on my eyes, but sadly, only one photo shows some of the sparkle, rest was invisible through the eye of the camera, even though I could see it pretty good in the mirror...
Anyhow, price of the Lotion trio + shimmer is $11, capped at 50 sets. Totally worth your money.
Because I use the make up so seldom, and I felt pretty (despite the messy hair), I quickly changed out of my plain T-shirt, into a power red blouse, and did a selfie photoshoot...
So... here is the face behind the nails. On my nails I am wearing the PPU contribution by Lucky 13 Lacquer - Too Weird Too Live, Too Rare To Die.
Cheers!
