Next day, I did add on. You knew that was coming though! I decided that what this base needed was some peacock feathers.
That was a great idea, even though it did not quite came the way I expected, but I am if anything- flexible...
I messed up my pinky, so it got some pretty overlay of 'Ard As Nails - New Year, New Me. I also used it to randomly paint some parts of the feather.
What I did was that I stamped the feather images using the black, and my colorful background just disappeared... Then I double stamped with Hit the Bottle - Magna Opus, which is color shifting stamping polish. This improved the look, but I was still not happy.
That was the point when I took couple of multi chrome polishes by 'Ard As Nails - Mother Flerken (purple to blue), and already mentioned New Year, New Me (blue to purple). With the small brush, I added random lines over already stamped feather.
Even though this did not came out the way I pictured it in my head, I have to admit that in the end, I loved the result much better than my original idea.
Sometimes disaster can bring out something really beautiful if you trust the process. In retrospect, I think those are the most beautiful peacock feathers I made to date!
Just because I did not post any macros in a long time, check the thumb macro at the bottom.
I also did not write this much in a while! LOL!
Have the wonderful day.
Cheers!
