In my family, we use wrapping paper to a minimum. With three kids, you can really get lots of presents to unwrap, so one year, I just went and purchased whole bunch of the gift bags.
My boys already know that gift bag is folded back and put away for the next year. Advantage is that they are already pre-labeled, so there is no need for lots of tags! I did not do it because I am that cheep, but really, gift bags are pretty, you can put all sorts of hard to wrap items in, and yes, they are reusable, and just by using them over and over again, we saved lots of rolls of wrapping paper that did not go to the land field, and thought my children lesson about reduce, reuse and recycle right there and then. Honestly, they see the bags for couple of minutes, and even though some of them are in use for more than decade, they still need to check the tags for the name on them.
That said, I did a wrapping paper manicure but this pattern would work on the gift bag too.
As a base, I used Picture Polish - Blue.
On the swatch above, I am wearing two coats and no top coat.
Image is on Lina - Can't Wait For Xmas! 2 stamping plate.
I used that first image on the plate for the ring and middle finger, but on index I did part of that lined image in the same row. For thumb, I used first image in the second row, and couldn't decide which one of those I loved more.
Because this blue is so intense ( just the way I like it), I kept color scheme super simple.
Love seeing holographic stamping polish over the crème, so I used DRK Nails - Silver Holo for stamping.
I loved this intense, yet very simple manicure, that was complimented many times at work.
This is it from me for today, and will see you again tomorrow. Oh yes, Yaaayyyy for Fridayyyy!!!
Cheers!
