What is water marble? For those that do not know, that is a technique in which you add a drop of the nail polish into the cup of room temperature water. Nail polish will spread on the surface, so you keep adding drop by drop of the polish, creating the bull eye. Then with the needle or the toothpick you create design. You place your nail on the desired part of the marble, and dip the finger to place it onto the nail. I usually use another stick to pick up the polish from the surface - In my case I have a plastic coffee stir stick that already has a nice sized lump on the top. This prevents the polish that is not used to stick back onto your nail when you are pulling it out.
It is not super complicated, but requires the practice. It always amazes me how using the same polishes in the same order, and replicating the design (or at least trying to) I am coming up with totally different look for the each nail. This is what I mean...
I did not like what was on my pinky, so I decided to cover it up with super pretty Different Dimension - Helix Nebula.
I could not resist to stamp a little winter wonderland including the polar bear - it kind of feels like I am living somewhere much more towards the North Pole these days...
Images I used are on MoYou London - Snow - 02 + Animal - 13 stamping plates.
Stamped first with First Mate, then with Maniology - Bam! White.
I hope you were not affected with the crazy, snowy, winter weather as we are.
Cheers!
