I was also engaged in February, but late February, and Valentine had nothing to do with it.
I was a December bride, and this past December we would celebrate 24th Anniversary if my husband is still alive. As you can see, some February engagements were meant to last.
I was not your conventional bride either.
My coloring does not work with the pastels, so I just did away with the pastel nonsense. I wore red lipstick, red nail polish, and was holding the bouquet of deepest red roses. I included a photo, and my roses look so bright here, but in reality were really dark. I apologize for the photo quality, that was years before the digital era, and I actually had to take photo of the photo...
I also rebelled against the kitschy wedding gown, and went with the suit. Looking at my wedding photos, I am still happy with the decisions I made, and we still look so sharp, 24 years later. This was more my style than any gown would be. Little trivia - later I was looking the photos of my mom and dad wedding, and guess who else did not wear the wail and gown! As mother as daughter. LOL!
Here is for all the rebels out there, wedding nails inspired by my own wedding.
I can't even remember when was the last time I wore the Orly - Mirrorball.
I wanted neutral background, but did not want to go with the white... this seem to fit the bill.
On the swatch above, I am wearing three thin coats and no top coat.
Images I used are from Uber Chic - Love & Marriage 1+2.
Deep red I am wearing on my pinky is La Femme - Vermelho, and I also used it for the stamping. I stamped red rose on my middle finger and thumb, then filled it in with L'Oréal - Jolly Lolly, sheer red polish.
Cake and gown are first stamped with Hit the Bottle - Apricot Sour, then with Snowed in. Both of those two stamping polishes were part of previous My Mani Boxes, kindly sent to me from Beautometry.com.
I added some caviar beads and clear rhinestone over the red on my pinky for extra sparkle.
I hope your week will be amazing.
Cheers!
