Then, as usual I changed my mind... and had some fun with the prompt. I used colors of the rainbow, but instead of painting the traditional lines, I decided to watermarble.
Watermarble is not my favorite thing mostly because I have little idea what I am doing. Then there is placement, that I also miss 9/10 times. I also did not have much luck with the color choices. And then things just don't work out the way you planned...
This time I have to admit, everything went well. My polishes watermarbled perfectly, and my biggest challenge was which one of the marbles to use, and which to pass.
I started with my thumb, and I did a flower petals which I continued on my index...
Then in the middle of the manicure, I decided that I do not want to do much more than go from center out and create the line. Middle finger was the first one, and was absolute perfection.
Then I kind of missed the mark on the ring and pinky.
I was entertaining the idea of covering one of the nails with the black, but then I just could not decide which one to get rid of.
All that I could think of was - Skittles - you know, "taste the rainbow" part... worst thing was that I did not have any at home, which was a good thing. Well, it was the best thing I could do for my expanding waist line - I knew I would not be able to stop at one or two...
Now, neither of us is tasting the rainbow (if you are, please do not tell me), at least you can scroll down and see the rainbow...
So funny, considering that I did not want to do the rainbow in the first place!
Then I found that I had a really hard time letting go of it. I decided to upcycle it and stamp over, and I knew perfect stamping plate for it. I had this particular plate in my plate holder for few years, and never used it so it made me incredibly happy to finally take the protective film off of it.
I used Maniology - M025 stampng plate. First I stamped all images using the black, and I wish I left it there... Then in my usual fashion picked up the white, and double stamped the images... hated the white, so decided on the third layer with black. I only left thumb and ring finger with white finish.
Now, I felt like a Chicken Little - "Sky is falling! The Sky is falling!"...
Isn't is just amazing what goes through my head when I do my nails, and some days, I am willingly sharing my embarrassing stories with you.
All in all, I got two totally different looks, like day and night, and I did a fairly successful watermarble in the process which was the huge plus. I was thrilled with the brightness of this set, and looking forward to use more bright polishes in the months to come.
Hope you are all doing fine, and that we will see you tomorrow.
Cheers!
