Had to install the my portable A/C unit last night, as my old house gets hot in no time. It already started to heat up, and we did not even had the super cold temperatures.
Summer times means playing in the water, or around the water, and here I am, with the watermarble.
Even though I used the same colors and in the same order, results are little bit different on every nail.
For marbling I used following polishes: China Glaze - Shocking Pink; Sally Hansen - Firey Island; Madam Glam - Cheerleading Squad and OPI - Lucky, Lucky Lavender.
Have to admit, this was not my best watermarble ever, and was really uncertain if I wanted to post the photo of watermarble alone.
Because I was so unhappy with the messy try out, I just did what I always do - I just stamped over. Stamping is cure all for many things, and it wonderfully hides all the imperfections of the base.
Images I used are on Star Nails 44 stamping plate which I purchased on Leonie's IG @leoniesnailart destash couple of years ago. I thought that I took the photo of the plate, but I guess that was another thing that did not go in the right direction here.
Honestly, I did not mind it stamped and my only pet peeve was the top coat that smeared the stamping. I have that problem lately, and while tiding up my cabinet, I discovered that I actually have 3 bottles of Maniology - No Smudge Top Coat. I obviously have them for a while, as Maniology is not shipping the nail polish to Canada for last two years or so. It was a high time to finally try it out - which I did and have to admit, it really helps. This will also help with using up all the smudgy top coats I do have at home. Being on self imposed no-buy means that I actually got to use what I have. I go through lots of top/base coat during the year, but I am pretty safe to say that I may not need to purchase the bottle any time soon... I still have at least a year worth of the backup top/base coats, if not more.
This manicure was obviously total fail, and even though I was not the happy with this, I am still posting it. Some days you just can't get it right no matter what you do. When those days cross your path, all you have to do is shrug it off, and move on - Nobody is perfect, and even though we always striving to be as close as we can to it, doing your best at any given moment is all you need to do.
This also means if you did not succeed the first time, you can always do it again... so I guess watermarble is in my stars sometimes soon.
Now, I am going to make me some lemonade, to quench the thirst, and help with the dealing with the heat. I like it warm, but anything over 25*C is too hot for me... we passed that benchmark a while ago...
Cheers!
