Magnetic base used here is by Masura - Lavender Pearl. I thought this would be a perfect base for the steam punk themed manicure.
I used Clear Jelly Stamper - CjS LC-46 stamping plate with all sorts of steam punk images. I got this plate at the beginning of the Summer, when I purchased one of the grab bags at US site. It was such a good of the deal, that I could not pass it. Out of 10 plates in the grab bag, I only got one that I already had, and luckily, I was able to gift it to a nail friend that did not have it. It all worked out great. In any case, I loved all images on this plate so much, it was really hard to decide which one of them to use. In the end, pocket watch, some gears and chains, and I was happy. There are still so many different images left unused there, I will have to reach for this plate again.
I used couple of purple shades for the stamping, alongside with white and gold.
I loved the way all came together, until I applied the top coat.
Usually, I do apply the no smudge top coat over the stamping, but this time I forgot to do so. My top oat did little bit of the smudging, but in the end, it is what it is. I was set on using matte top coat for this, as I thought it would show the details better, and totally did not count on smudging it.
Despite the smudge on one nail, I enjoyed this manicure, because it was different, because it was in my favorite color, and because I used magnetic polish. So many things I loved about it, that I can only hope you will like it too.
Weekend is upon us, and I am looking forward some rest, and maybe using some of the new polishes and plates that arrived last week... we will see.
Have yourself an amazing weekend, and make sure that you do at least one thing that will make your heart sing.
Cheers!
