I finally dipped in my new polishes by Pahlish, and this was the first one to try - Pumpkin Patch.
Have to admit that most of my Pahlish order was out of my comfort zone, but I love each and every polish I ordered - each and every one is more stunning than the other.
ait is not just the holo, or the contrasting shimmers, but also those gorgeous scattered microglitters. I could not stop looking at this one. On the swatch above, I am wearing 2 easy coats and top coat.
As I mentioned before, I was going for the vintage, even Victorian items, and I loved the images on JQ-L13. It had the look of vignette, and pretty much every item is so grossly oversized, that I really can't see anyone actually fitting them on their nails.
I absolutely love the wire tailor doll, and it reminded me of my dad, that was fifth generation tailor... it died with him, even though I was tinkling with the fabric in my younger days. I managed to place just a half of the image on my nail.
Then, there was a Victorian side table fitted with candelabras and antique clock, part of which I placed on my middle finger.
Then I seen the wall scone, one that has a candle holder, just for the whole vintage vibe to be completed, even though I wish I skipped this last item.
First, I stamped with Kaleidoscope - Bisque, then I double stamped using the Born Pretty - Gold. This particular stamping polish is too sheer for stamping, it rather gives a golden sheen to a stamped area, which was just enough here for the patina. You see, you can always find the use for the polishes that you own.
Everything was topped with glossy top coat. I suspect that matte top coat would add even more of the vintage look, but I just couldn't bring myself to mattify this polish right away.
I was pretty pleased with this look, and I hope you will like it as much as I did.
After a brief flirt with the Spring weather on the Monday, I decided to bring out my spring jacket out of closet yesterday... only that it was at least 15*C colder than day before, and we had a blizzard... it appears that for the moment, I forgot that I am actually living in Canada, and that is only a first week of February - Winter is back on schedule...
Cheers!
