My mom did lots of crocheting, and through her, I learned how to do it too.
This particular pattern on my index and ring finger she called pineapple, and was part of many different things she crocheted. Color scheme is straight out of 70's, time of the happy childhood...
I started by Sally Hansen x Jelly Belly - French Vanilla, off white polish with sparse black specks, that look just like vanilla bean seeds...
I purchased one of the mystery bags from Clear Jelly Stamper, and this plate was in it. Lace is not something I am really reaching for very often, I was intrigued by layering images and possibilities of coloring the background in.
Images I used are on Clear Jelly Stamper - CjS V-13.
I decided that I did not want the single colored background, so I did gradient stamping using Born Pretty - Gold + Orange stamping polishes.
Over that, I decided to go with another warm color choice, Hit the Bottle - Give it a weigh now.
I am totally obsessed with this stamping polish - who knew I would be so excited about brown!
There are also gold toned round studs that I added at the bottom of the every nail.
There is no words to explain how much I loved this. It was really hard to remove something that you like, and that was the case here.
This just proves that you do need to get out of your comfort zone from time to time, as results may surprise you - totally case here.
Looks that take me by surprise are motivation enough to keep on experimenting.
Weekend I so close, I can smell it! I hope you will have a great start of the weekend.
Cheers!
