For this puplelicious concoction, I used three different purple polishes. For this manicure, I wanted to see how many different finishes I can use, and still look cohesive. Consider this an experiment.
I started with Milani - Sugar plum, shimmery plum polish that has beautiful color, but I do not wear enough. loving the shimmers, and lately I am all over the board with all the different finishes and wild color combos. From time to time I like to play it safe, but most of the time, my old self is starting to emerge. After three long and dark months, I think I am turning the corner, and with this colors will emerge. There is no time limit on grief, and we are all different, and express ourselves differently.
Back to the topic, loving this Milani polish even though in the sea of new Indie polishes, some of my old ones getting little to no love.
My dear co-worker mentioned to me recently that she is surprized that Purple Elfness did not make any appearance lately, even though I do not think that she can grasp the size of my polish collection...
Even though she do not wear polish, on occasion she would sport the base coat, I always get surprized that she actually notice that particular polish. In her honor, Purple Elfness by Parrot Polish made an appearance in this manicure as a glitter of the choice.
It would be totally weird for me to leave this as is, no matter how pretty it may look, so I went three for three, and decided to stamp using - you guess, purple polish. Stamping polish I used is Hit the Bottle - High Voltage Violet, and the name of that one kind of ties into the title of the post... just saying... I just thought that crème would anchor all of that glitter and shimmer I started with.
As I mentioned earlier that some of my older polishes get little to no love, same goes for the plates.
It took deliberate decision not to even look at the newer plates, but to choose something I did not use in a while. In the pocked on the last page of one of my plate holders, I stashed Pueen Special Edition plates, that been all rad when I got them while ago. You could purchase them only as a set, and set contained four square double sided plates. All eight of plates are buffet style, and they look awesome, even though they can be quite overwhelming to use. Honestly, it did not matter which plate I picked, I did not use any of them in ages, and even when I got them, I used this set only a handful of times. Random choice fell on Pueen SE 02B stamping plate, and I decided to settled on swirls and leaves design.
All in all, this purple experiment looked quite decent, and I decided to use it to wish a friend a happy birthday - Happy Birthday Jayne!
Wishing all of you fast and easy week.
Cheers!
