I only hope I will not blind you with the color choices.
This is bright, fresh and fun, just a perfect thing to break the winter blues, Monday blues, and blues of any kind.
Even though I used the striping tape in the the finished manicure, I did not use it in making of this design. I tried something different, and I may never go back to the taping or guides, not that I used them much.
What I used to mask the parts I wanted to leave without polish was Bliss Kiss - Simply Peel. This is cuticle protection, but works like a charm for blocking out what you want to leave preserved. It easily removes from skin, nail or polish, and leaves clean line. Taping sometimes leaves tiny little openings that will allow the polish to escape under, but latex seal it like a glow - leaving the sharp line of division.
White polish I used is Jessica - Sharktooth. I painted top half of the thumb, index and middle finger, and whole ring and pinky. White seemed like a logical choice, and freshest too. I wanted this to look Spring like - fresh and brilliant.
Using Esmaltes da Kelly - Bruce, and clear jelly stamper, I picked up the image from UR Beautiful 12 stamping plate.
I trimmed dividing lines with red striping tape received as gift with purchase from Beautometry.
I loved the color contrast so much, that I decided to freehand few red roses using the red acrylic paint. In the end, I was really pleased with the way this looked.
Only thing I can hope for is that this will brighten your Monday.
Cheers!
