Couple of weeks ago, I was doing a mani swap with super talented Candice IG@funeralfacenails and today, I have a fun twin manicure with her.
Candice found several fun prints, but this particular caught my attention.
For some unknown reason, I am drawn to the arrow images, and this one is so pretty. Some colorful chevrons, some pretty arrows, and catchy text were the winning combination for me.
You have to admit it is such a pretty print.
All started with the white base, in this case NCLA + Sini Sabotage - Ahoy, My Love.
For all the painting, I used acrylic paints. My color choices and mixes were spot on, but after I took the photos, they looked so washed out. That was the bigger disappointment for me than my lack of nail surface. I thought that would really bug me, but I guess I am getting used to my shorties, at least to the version before I had to cut them even shorter.
My freehand is pretty rusty these days - I used to do so much more. Then I went all crazy with stamping plates purchases, that I lost whatever little creative juice I had.
That really makes me sad. Now when I look back, I wonder whatever possessed me to stop doing freehand... You could see the nice progress I was making, and I truly enjoyed the process. For some reason it calms me.
All was topped with Matte top coat by Wet 'n' Wild. Using the matte top coat over the freehand, spares me all the headache of trying to avoid the glare...
First photo is the one that shows both manicures with our inspiration and then lots of the photos of just my hand. LOL!
Don't you love how two people can have the same inspiration, and then interpret it totally different. That is how creativity works.
I love both version, and I hope you will too.
Cheers!
