Here comes Tweety Bird - innocently looking, but she was little miss mischief! More often than not I actually felt bad for the bad guy - being beaten down day after day would kill the stronger and smarter, but those little buggers never quit. Hmmmm.... maybe I did learn something from all of those border line violent cartoons- no matter what, just keep on trying until succeed!
Now, give me a food to paint, and I will do fine, but sadly enough, I can not paint a cartoon character to save my life! There is some likeness, but my strokes are unsure... and here I am, presenting you with border line failure - but at least I tried. I may even try again some time (not quite any time soon), but I never quit. Not even when odds are stacked against me - quitting is not something I just do.
Some of you might ask why would I even bother to post - because I did it. I tried and even though this is not perfect, I am posting it to show that not every time things just work out for you. That is life. Some days everything seem to fall in place, and some days, no matter what you do, or how hard you try it, somehow that ends up being short in one way or another. Some days you just can't get it right, no matter what. Will this discourage me from trying a freehand again - certainly not. As a matter of the fact, you can count that I will subject you to my handy work when ever inspiration strikes.
For this, I used only nail polishes for painting, and that may be part of the problem. Polish dries out much quicker than acrylic paint, and once you put a stroke, you can not undo it unless you want to ruin everything...
As a base, I used super pretty Madam Glam - Arabella from Gelementary collection. I wanted a soft background for this, and Arabella looks more pink on my photos than it is in real life.
I used following polishes - white is Jessica - Sharktooth, and yellow is Sally Hansen - Lightening. I used random black that was on my desk.
after I did random yellow and white dots, I added a layer of iridescent loose glitter I purchased at local craft store. Then I applied few more dots over. Beauty of iridescent glitter is that will show different colors depending on the base color. You can actually see different shades of glitter on some shots. It looks red over the yellow,
I wish you a great week ahead.
Cheers!
