I had to try this wonderful polish from LynBDesigns - Did you also say Frodric?
Did you also say Frodric? is teal crelly full of color shifting flakes. Color shift is from green to teal to blue to purple and even pink in some light/angle combos.
This one can be used as a topper I guess, but I like to see polish like this on its own. Took me three coats to full opacity.
Isn't that beautiful polish? Top two photos were done under artificial light, while third photo was done in indirect natural light. I always find that does the trick with any shifting polishes.
When I am head on with gorgeous polish, I always struggle with image I want to stamp over. I do not want stamping to take over, but sometimes you do what your instinct tells you to do. That was the case with this manicure. I looked at this gorgeous crelly, and all I could think was something related to the water... Yes, that was my first instinct... Then I stopped and did something that may be far removed from the water... I decided to go with something hot and tropical, and this is what I did. During the years I was involved in nail art community, I did see many variation on the theme, but do not remember it done this way.
All images I used are on HK-06 stamping plate, and I did not stamped this long image in the order it was on the plate- I wanted some kind of order on my own...
What I did first was to stamp all images with Mundo de Unas - White stamping polish. I did it like that so what ever I decided to stamp over would be brighter, and would pop up against this base polish, without taking away from it.
Over that, I gradient stamped using following: La Femme - Amarelo (yellow), Vermelho (red) and Born Pretty - Orange, the one I thought was yellow when I purchased.
To line up the images, I used Clear Jelly stamper. I wanted to leave super thin white line, to differentiate images more from the background, and I though this looked pretty nice.
This almost ties in with yesterday's manicure - this looks like I arrived to my vacation destination.
I wish! On the other hand, one can dream. I love the idea of the tropical vacation, but get second thoughts thinking about heat. I just don't do heat well...
On that note, I will go and hide indoors, and wishing you a wonderful day.
Cheers!
