For this technique you place one or two drops of the polish in the cup with room temperature water, wait for a little bit and then using a cotton swab (I caught on this tidbit of info afterwards, and I used watermarbling tool), you can push/pull the edges of the polish to create 'wrinkles'. Those wrinkles is actually what gives this technique a charm. If you use two swabs, you can actually 'squish' the opposite ends into a bow like shape, that can be used as is, or you can use half, which ever you pick. You slide your nail under the shape you created, and then pushing your nail upwards, it will apply onto your nail, just like a veil, and hopefully, you will end up with something uniquely awesome.
For me, technique was deceptively easy, and the reason I attempted it.
I just accepted flaws of the art I accomplished, added some stamping and some freehand, and next thing I knew, I had decent look.
As you can say by the shape/length of my nails this is from the vault, but despite all the flaws here, I ended liking this manicure, even though I did not attempt to do another one since this...
Who knows, I just may in the future...
I wrote down what I used, but not really in right order... so here is the shopping list:
- MoYou London - Explorer - 33 + Mix Match13 stamping plates, both from the June/2018 My Mani Box I received from Beautometry.
- Essie - Good as gold + DRK Nails - Metallic Brown for stamping.
- Bliss Kiss - Simply peel for skin protection.
Unfortunately, I did not write down the pink and green polish I was using... ooopsie. I guess I did not think that will took me almost 10 months to post it... and that I will remember - which I do not.
Have a wonderful day.
Cheers!
