I live in household of males, and I know how much they love cars, and I have to admit even though I do not drive (my only flaw), I love, love look of the old cars. They all have a character, sleek lines and you could tell from mile away different brands. These days, they all look the same. Someone would do something unusual to differentiate itself from the crowd, and next thing you know, all of them are following suit...
On all but my index finger, I used OPI - My Private Jet as a base. I do not wear brown often, even though I posted two brown manicures in a span of the few days... Thing is - I am just trying to give some attention to all of my polishes and polish brands, even though newer ones getting more attention... This is one of those that needed attention really bad. My Private Jet is warm, deep brown polish with scattered holographic micro glitter, and on some angles shows a red-ish shimmer. It is really pretty in person, and I think I wore it only once before... shame, because there is so much depth in it.
I just thought this would make perfect background for the car themed manicure, because of some unexplained reason, this polish reminded me of the wet road... whatever... this is my story and I will stick to it...
On my index finger, I am wearing limited edition Sally Hansen - Red-io Active. This is fiery red, foil like finish polish that I did not wear in ages... and just loved it. It also has warm gold-ish glow on the light points, and looks like it is on fire. This would make such a cool color for a car in real life.
All images are from Creative Shop 40 plate.
I split 'Muscle car' image on my index finger into two lanes to fit better on my nail.
Double stamped first with Mundo de Unas (MdU) - Black, then with White.
On my middle finger I have this old car - male ultimate fantasy in red. The heck, I would love the car like that. This car might be equivalent of - riding into sunset... for city sleekers like myself.
I picked up car image using my Clear Jelly Stamper and Winstonia - Silver Bullet. I painted car red on my stamper, and when dry, I applied it to nail. Then, with MdU - Black, I stamped same image over and loved the final result.
On my ring finger I have really detailed image. On the first glance looks like a bunch of doodles, but at closer inspection, you can see whole bunch of car parts and tools hidden there. I stamped this image first with Maybelline - Bold Gold, but it was barely visible, so I stamped over with Mdu - White.
I loved how this manicure came along, and hope you will like it as much. I love uniqueness of Creative Shop stamping plates. All images are so intricate and unique, I just want to use them all the time. I only own four of them at the moment, and six more are an route to my home as we speak.
During last weekend, Beautometry had some of those plates on extremely good deal, and I would not miss sale like that... just could not miss opportunity to own few more of those awesome plates...
As soon as they arrive, I will do review one at the time - it is kind of too late for review of those I already have, and used...
This is it from me for today, signing off, and wishing you great day.
Cheers!
