As a part of my review parcel, I received this Spring themed, butterfly nail stamping plate from Born Pretty Store. This is BP-X52 stamping plate, item #41068.
I wanted to do manicure like this for a while now, but did not own image that I had in my head, until now that is. I could not wait to use it.
As a base, I used China Glaze - At the Vase Value.
Using my new stamper that arrived with this parcel, item #41330, I stamped full nail image (first image on the bottom row) with Hit the Bottle - As Black as Night black stamping polish. After I added top coat, I filled in edges of the butterfly wings with Essie Watercolors - Point of Blue. I wanted little bit of dimension than just flat stamping would provide. Afterwards, using my small dotting tool, I added some white dots for more visual interest. I really love how this came along. In many ways, this looked like some fancy wrap, rather than plain stamping. I could wore this forever.
I wanted a accent nail, and even though I changed design from the originally imagined, I still love how that design developed. Most of the time I have a vague idea what I want to achieve, and more often than not, I have to adjust my aim, and most of the time I actually like the new and improved design.
Even though I started with 5 blue nails, after stamping decal mishap, I decided to change the color of the accent nail into the white, and do more of the led lighting technique I applied on other four nails.
I used same black stamping polish, and I added some of the OPI sheer tints, even touch of glitters, and I have to admit this came about better than I hoped.
I am totally in love with those fresh, spring colors.
