I seen many nail artist would go out of their way to show the gore and very morbid manicures, while I go for cute, or like in this case vailed themed manicure.
I decided to give a tribute to Edgar Allan Poe and his famous poem - The Raven.
Gradient is not seen often on my page, and I really felt like one.
I used four different polishes, and I am starting from the top:
Color Club Nail Lacquer - Island Vibes (purple); Cirque Colors - Vigo (pink); Sally Hansen - Firey Island and Born Pretty - Orange.
On pinky and thumb, I am wearing Glam Polish - Dark Wings, Dark Words. Name of the last one perfectly fit with the theme. I love when things came together like this, even though this was not planned at all - Just a happy coincidence. This shifty polish went well with the gradient too, as it shifts through most of the colors of the gradient on rest of the nails. On my pinky you can see some of the shift...
All of those polishes used are on my shelves for a while, and it was nice to use them again.
Images used are on Maniology - BM-S241, small square plate that was part of set (10 themed stamping plates) and is re-issued as a set of 5 rectangular plates. Images can be found now on Maniology - M064 stamping plate. Maniology basically re-branded the stamping plates issued under Bundle Monster (their previous name) by joining 2 plates onto one bigger plate.
I do have a discount code for maniology.com - code SANJA10 will save you 10% on all fully priced items in the store. I purchased myself all the products from Maniology I own, but if you can save some, why not.
I used silver and black stamping polish for stamping, and in the end I added moon and stars using the white acrylic paint.
Even though I am not for spooky, I loved this more than I thought I would.
I wanted to wish you all a wonderful weekend, and I hope that you will have some rest scheduled in your weekend.
Cheers!
