I have another abstract design today. They do not seem to be very popular, but I need to let go, and step away from realism. For the longest time I could not imagine doing the branches in colors of nature, but every time I paint them different color, it becomes easier. It is letting go and go with the spur of the moment thing for me. It is sign of the growth.
I loved this one as it reminded me of the Autumn, with color scheme, and I just loved how my index finger came out.
I started with Starlight Polish - Peppermint in the parlor, one of the past Polish Pick Up exclusive polishes. Loving the subtle red micro glitters here.
Needless to say, all was done freehand with nail polishes.
Polishes for the background are all by Ciate - Loop the loop (yellow), Pepperminty (mint green), Hoopla (peach) and Hopscotch (orange). Honestly, I loved the background as is. For whichever reason made me think of lava lamp.
Over that, I painted with black nail polish. I used water based top coat to prevent smearing, but what I dislike the most is that if you apply little bit thicker coat, it gives milky kind of look to the art under... I can see it on one of the nails, and it drives me insane. I am out of my no streak top coat, and it is next to impossible to find me another bottle. I am still on the look out. I use it only over the nail art, and when is dry, I apply regular top coat.
I truly hope your day will go well.
Cheers!
