This is color combo (or very similar) to one that was decided to be in boys game room. I am using the term boys really loosely here... Well, when I painted the room, they been just a boys, preteens at the best...
I painted walls beautiful greyish-blue. To specify, under natural light it would show bright light blue, while under artificial light it would look like grey... so weird, I never seen any paint that would look so different depending on the light source. I still remember name of that paint - Moonless, even though I would be hard pressed to tell you name of the paint brand.
This beauty was paired with dark, chocolate brown sectional, because I wanted my boys to be comfy while playing on the game systems... yes, systems - they haven't been deprived kind of children...
There is also story of this sectional purchase, and I may let you on that story some other time...
Textured base polish is L'Oréal - Distressed Turquoise. I did not even know that L'Oréal is making textured polishes at the time of the purchase of this one. I liked the color, and it was in a clearance bin, and who can complain about .99 c price ticket- it surely would not be me...
I purchased this, placed it on my shelf, and few months later, I was so happy to re-discover this color. There was real disappointment when I realized this is textured polish. At that time, I didn't do texture... Fast forward couple of years later, and I love it! Fickle fancies of the nail polish addict!
This Distressed Turquoise could almost be worn in a one coat, but I like it more with two - that is sure way to wear manicure with even coloring, and it would also gave it more texture...
True to my game room color scheme, I paired it with chocolate brown. This would be milk chocolate compared with dark type from the room, but I am not complaining...
Beautiful stamping polish is Kaleidoscope st.85 Brown. I still do not get Kaleidoscope stamping polishes. Some of them are stamping like a champs, while others are impossible to work with, and I own few of those that I still need to see in action... This one is pretty good, and I really like the color. Here I am again - I never thought I would say that for the any shade of brown - I told you that those are sneaky...
Image is from my new favourite series UR Beautiful -17. I love images on those. Size wise they are pretty uniform, with additional single and extra large buffet type, just like a original they are emulating... they look good and are suitable for long and for a short nails.
In the end, I really liked simple elegance of this set. I love this light blue/brown combo...
As always, thank you for stopping by.
