On Monday, I received my first PR parcel from Different Dimension.
If you are following me for a while now, you would know that this is possibly one of my favorite Indies, and definitively most extensive of my polish collections. I have more than 100 of Missi's shades, all purchased by myself.
Different Dimension will have a brand new collection released this Saturday, July 11th, 2020 at 9 AM EDT. Name of the collection is Tutti Frutti.
It was really hard for me to pick where to start from, so I started with the first polish in the photo, super funky crelly named Candy Shop.
Candy Shop is white crelly polish with larger confetti neon glitters in variety of colors and sizes.
For easier application of bigger glitters, leave the bottle turned upside down for approximately 5 minutes, to help bigger glitters mix with the polish, as all glitter polishes will eventually settle on the bottom.
Personally, I am not the fan of the big glitters, as my nails are to small and to curved for them. I had my doubts about this one, especially because my bottle was really thick, but application was surprisingly easy and distribution of the glitters was even. I just took my sweet time applying it, and it worked like a charm.
There is a little trick I picked up in the years I am intensely involved in the world of the nail polish - When you are applying the glitter polish or flakie polish, lay your brush as flat to the nail as you can. This will ensure that you will actually deposit the glitters/flakies over the whole surface, not just on the tips. If your brush is upright, and you are touching the nail just with the tip, your glitters will be dragged from the bottom of your nail, and will be all packed on your tips.
This little trick worked even with the big glitters like those in Candy Shop.
Despite all I ended up loving this one, and even wore it to work yesterday. It is actually perfect summer polish with all the neon glitters that look like a random polka dots.
This crelly really did not need any nail art, but I could not wait to try out all the colors, so I used 6 neon colors to paint the rainbow on my ring finger.
I absolutely love each and every one, and can't wait to share them all with you.
All was topped with the matte top coat, as I needed to compare and see if I like this one glossy or matte.
Have to admit, I love the look of the white crelly when it is glossy. That is the reason why I topped my hand painted rainbow with glossy top coat.
Combination of the name of this crelly and me painting the rainbow triggered something in my brain, and all that I could think of was - "taste the rainbow", and how I seen something like this already... then it drowned on me - Skittles!
My son run to the corner store to get me bag (or 4) of the Skittles, which I then used in the collection's group photo. Once again, I loved that I could eat my props. It is all about food with me. LOL!
Hope you will like what I have prepared for you.
Cheers!
