It is almost a cliché to do palm trees and sunset, so I wanted to do something bit different.
I have few plates with blank image that you supposed to use for gradients. I use them next to never...
Those type of gradients done with stamping plate, are little bit different than those done with the sponge. They are less smooth, but I thought that would be just perfect for the sky.
Gradient was done exclusively with Esmalte da Kelly stamping polishes: Kaa, Lisa, Ulli and Max, and blank image I used is on Moyra stamping plate 53- Textures.
I paired gradient with pretty Essie - Leggy Legend, and I did not wear that one for the longest time. I just remembered how much I loved it.
Image I used for stamping over the gradient is on Fab Ur Nails - Fun17 stamping plate.
Plate is full of fantastic images, but bottom part of the plate is my reason behind purchase. I especially love the image of that couple sitting back to back to catch the breath after the hike. I took that pose many times while hiking the with the friends.
First I stamped with Leggy Legend, because I wanted to have some highlights , I wanted trees to look like they were touched by sinking sun... but it was not really visible...
Black of the choice today was DRK Nails - Extra black.
I was really happy with the results, but this manicure looked so familiar. Than it hit me. It reminded me of the photo I took on the hike with my boys down on the Jade Beach, which is in the Kalamalka Lake Park, but is also known as Rattlesnake Point, as this spot is infested by them... jikes!
I included photo I took with my phone on the bottom...
Wishing you an amazing day.
Cheers!
