I managed to do some canning, and that made me really happy. It is really interesting how some little things can make your day. I am also super tired, and I truly hope that all that I write will make some sense. LOL!
Freehand is not really my strong suit, even though few years ago I did lots of it. Practice makes perfect, and even though my technique may leave lots to desire, it is nice to do it from time to time just to keep things interesting.
That is especially true when you receive super cute set of brushes, and really want to use them as soon as you possibly can.
Super sweet Victoria from NailStuff.ca sent me this cute set - Mermaid Tail Nail Brush Trio, and I could not wait to try them out.

Longest brush is the best for the lines, while short one is for more detailed work. You can use them with the nail polish, but for this design I used acrylic paints. I find acrylics give you more time to work with them, as they do not dry as fast as nail polish does. You can also use brush dipped in alcohol to clean up if you make mistake, which will keep your base intact. I also heard that some artist wait until it is dry, then using the orange stick they gently scrape all the excess acrylic paint. Which ever works for you, that is what you use.
My base is Different Dimension - Pixie Dust.
I first painted the plaid design over all the nails, then on my middle finger I painted aloe, and on ring finger we have hens & chicks.
My dominant hand may sport a nubs at the moment, but that does not mean that short is not pretty. During the week my hands match in every way (except in length). Could not resist to take a pic with both hands in the view.
I wore this throughout the last week, and after 5 days I finally said good bye to this manicure. I loved it that much!
While taking the photos, I noticed that I unintentionally matched my color scheme to my new brushes. That made picking up the photos to post really hard.
My elegant topaz ring was also the perfect match for this manicure, and after a long hiatus, I finally started wearing the rings to work.
Have a wonderful day!
Cheers!
