I remembered walking on the carpet of leaves that was several inches thick, rustling beneath my little feet, crisp air and loads of laughter.
That was the first time I seen the stag beetle. It was about 3 inches long with a protrusions on the head that were like a prized stag's antlers.
Wooded area where we were picking the named chestnuts, also had a loads of acorns. I plan to do one manicure with the chestnuts alone, so acorns were meant to be here.
I started with absolutely stunning Superchic Lacquer - Lucid La La Land.
First of all, how stunning is this color! This is my third polish from Superchic Lacquer, but one is for sure - every time I start applying one of them, little "wow" escapes my mouth. Smooth, easy to apply formula, and full opacity in one coat. They also stamp like a champ, and we know how much I love double duty polishes.
This one is so gorgeous, I really hated covering it up.
Images I used are on Moyra stamping plate 69 - Forest.
I purchased it from moyrastamping.com and you can save 10% off of your purchase just by typing SANJAMOYRA in the small box on the checkout.
For stamping, I used 2 different stamping polishes: Hit the Bottle - Sucrose and yet so far, and Maniology - Straight-Up Black.
All was topped with glossy top coat.
For many of the people, October is month of spook... it is not the secret that Halloween is not my favorite, and that I try to keep gore and guts and all that grossness to the minimum.
Bugs totally freaks me out, and this is so creepy for me. Even though seeing those stag beetles was really exciting to a child, I did not feel any urge to touch any of them, no thank you. It was fascinating to see them in their glory, but bug of that size gave me nightmares for weeks!
So creepy and fascinating is what I could call today's design.
Cheers!
