Even though I consider yellow a happy color, I rarely wear it, even on my nails, because I have a hard time pulling off this awesome shade.
I can do it in a small doses, and that is exactly what I did here.
I did one of the brightest color combinations of sky blue and yellow. To me, it is like a blue sky and sunshine!
Gorgeous sky blue is Burjois - 06 Adora-bleu.
I was bent on trying new stamping plates I ordered on line, and recently received... shipping took forever. I guess that is the price you pay for a free shipping!
Plate I used is Kads Min 015.
What I planned to do was accent nail only. First I picked up the image using Esmaltes da Kelly - Dolly, added yellow, but when stamped, it looked washed out. I decided to do a second layer of stamping using Esmaltes da Kelly - Orion.
I liked the look, but I had to re-think the design idea - one nail looked kind of lonely... I decided to stamp more zig-zag, because you can never have too much of that timeless design... Well, I just picked first zig-zag design I came across, and did not really think that all too well...Design was not even the close, but I was too far gone, and was getting late, and against better judgement I left it as is. This image was on Mezerdoo 6 stamping plate, and I wish I just kept on looking.
Have to admit that I hated mismatched lines so much, I could not wait to get home from work so I can take it off.
In all the mess, I liked the way Cindy looked, so decision was that she will model this one.
I will wish you a blue sky and sunshine this weekend.
Cheers!
