In one of mine many Winners runs, I got plenty of Color Club polishes, couple packages in neon colors, and I think I ended up with plenty of neon pink and neon orange shades.
While neon pink I do not mind, I am still on the search for the neon orange that will please me.
I love seeing them on others, but not necessarily on myself.
I gave a chance to a shade I did not tried before - Color Club Lacquer - Study Buddy.
It is off the chart intense, but my camera hates orange with passion, and it makes my skin unnaturally dark to counteract for the orange brightness.
Great thing about new Color Club polishes is that they are so creamy and opaque, and white undies were not needed to achieve blinding brightness. It was fully opaque in two easy coats.
It dries to a matte finish.
I applied Study Buddy on thumb, ring and pinky, while other two got couple of coats of Ruby Wing - Clean Linen.
Clean Linen is solar polish, and in the sun it goes from pearly white to a burnt orange. I thought this pigment was long gone, but couple of days ago I was on my way for my physio therapy, and it was nice, sunny day. By chance I looked at my nails, and seen that polish still works! Maybe not as good as years ago, but it did change the color, and last photo is one I took on the middle of the sidewalk, with my phone. Please disregard my extra dry hands, did not know I will have an photo op, and my appointment was during my lunch hour.
Aside from being the solar polish, it is also scented polish, and when dry it smells exactly like its name suggest - Clean Linen.
Images I used are on Esmaltes da Kelly - KN21 stamping plate.
I stamped with Study Buddy over the Clean Linen, and over the Study Buddy I first stamped with Painted Polish by Lexi - Stamped in Sand, then with Clean Linen.
Some days less is more, and when you have an intense color like this orange, I kept the stamping colors to a minimum. Black would look amazing here, but there is something about orange and black that scream Halloween to me... so different color scheme was in order.
My garden is totally loving mild weather and plentiful of rain, that was in forecast for the weekend... Yay!
Have and amazing day, and make the best of what you have.
Cheers!
