Sometimes, the old fashioned thing to do is to read. When I say that, I mean book, with paper pages that you can turn, with smell of ink - my favorite thing is a brand new book, one that I am the first one to open and read. Book can go with you wherever you go.
Another thing to do is cards. No matter the game, age or skills, everyone can learn some card game, and play with friends and family. They are awesome on the beach or camping trip. Compact and easy to take, can provide hours of fun.
Tic-tac-toe is one of those games that you can play on the paper, or on the beach in the sand. You can draw the grid with your finger or with a stick, and you can use the seashells and rocks you collected earlier instead of drawing the "x" or "o". That way you can reuse the drawn grid over and over again.
Those are just some of the suggestions what to do in the summer, when you are away from the TV, and I did not even the mentioned the guitar, and singing deep into the night...
That is where I was going for here.
I started with pearly white polish by Nicka K - NY 136. Over that I stamped images from Born Pretty - BP-63 + BP-76 stamping plates.
Unintentional this ended up pretty monochromatic, but I kind of liked to have a manicure that is not very loud... from time to time, I need something simple to be a palate cleanser...
Yesterday I did minimal weeding, as morning glory was trying to take over the yard. Feels good to do something and actually see the results, unlike the housework that never ends, and by the time you finish it, you can go again around...
Have yourself a wonderful weekend.
Cheers!
