This last Black Friday, I kind of got pretty wild, and I got quite a few polishes, not that I really needed them... and I did got me three Zoya quads - four full sized bottle for the price of the one... I could not pass on that deal here.
First quad that I used is the one named Tis the Season.
Last month I did shown you a manicure done using Aggie, and today I will show you Debbie.
On the swatch above, I am wearing two coats and no top coat, polish dries to the high gloss.
To be honest, I do not remember when was the last time I did a glitter gradient.
Because I was out of the good latex barrier, and one I had I find too hard to remove, I decided against using the sponge for the gradient, so I just used the brush that came with the polish, and applied the glitter the best I could.
Glitter I used is one of those that was not used in a very long time, so why not now! It is by Finger Paints - I'm so Enameled by You. I love those multi colored metallic glitters, and the fact that they gave little bit of contrast and the interest to the Debbie.
Loved the look, but I did not want all the nails sporting the glitters, and I wanted some stamping done. I do love simple, but no nail art might be little bit too simple for me.
I used image from Creative Shop 27 stamping plate. I always loved this fine image, and this was the perfect opportunity to use it. For stamping I used Essie - Penny Talk.
Recently, I started using Moyra - SP Aqua Top Coat - I ordered 2 bottles by mistake - this top coat is meant to be used over the foil, but I also discovered that does not smear the stamping. This time, I added another layer of fast drying top coat, and apparently my water based top coat underneath was not quite dry... That caused slight clouding on some spots, that was more visible on the photos, than it was in person. I never noticed it until I uploaded the photos from my camera...
In the end, despite the little setback with the top coats, I liked the results and kept this manicure on for few days.
Cheers!
