I spent it with my family, quiet day that allowed me to relax before going back to work today... I just consulted my crystal ball, and can see the mad house at work. LOL!
Ah, well - it is nice to go back to routine of everyday life.
Today, I will show you the manicure I actually wore on the New Years Eve. Super simple was the name of the game.
Am I the only one that got tired of overdone everything during the holiday season? I hope not. I just wanted something simple and elegant. Even though I did not go further than my couch, I still wanted my nails to look pretty, just for me.
My son's girlfriend liked this so much, that I did similar one for her, but neglected to take the photo of matching nails...
As a base I used A England - Natasha's Dance from their War and Peace collection. I used this polish several months ago, but ended adding glitters and tons of stamping on it, I could not appreciate it enough. Not this time. This time, I let it take the stage so to speak, or really close to it. What I love the most about this polish? On the photos below, I am wearing one coat only! Talking about super quick manicure.
I added glittered accent nail, and I used my rarely used Ciate polish - Humbug. Loving the name - so fitting for the season, and I do not think I ever wore it. If I did it was long ago, long enough to completely forget I did. It consist of matte black micro glitters and silver glitters in different sizes. Love it, and I have to remember to open my Ciate drawer more often. I still have several untried polishes in that drawer.
I almost left it there. Almost.
Stamping was out of question, as I did not want to cover Natasha's Dance completely, but felt that there was something missing. My eyes fell onto my little striping tape dispenser, and I knew what I need to do.
I added some silver holographic striping tape to my ring finger and pinky, and I was so happy with the result, I could not take my eyes off of it. Tape would catch and reflect any ray of light, and that looked so stunning against this deepest of navy background.
All topped with quick drying top coat, and I was ready to say good bye to 2017, and humbly say Hello! to the 2018.
Cheers!
