This magnificent creatures are decreasing in numbers, and Hawksbill sea turtles are critically endangered.
It is estimated that sea turtles populating the Earth for 110 million years! That means that they shared this planet with dinosaurs! Now that is a peace of trivia worth sharing.
As my base, I used Picture Polish collab shade with Kelly Marissa - Bluebird.
This is one of four polishes from my last order, and portion of it was paid by my winnings from January contest. This is one of those shades that you can wear all year long, and never feel out of season.
I thought this would be a wonderful base for the water.
To create the water feeling and play of the sun over the surface, I stamped the image from Maniology - MXM 022 stamping plate. For a stamping I used B. Loves Plates - B. a Mint.
I touched up the image using shimmery white and silver shimmers.
Sea turtle image is layered image on Dixie Plates - Tropical Paradise.
I used more B. Loves Plates stamping polishes: B. a Holy Night, B. a Blueberry, B. a Forget-me-not, and Maniology - Straight-Up Black. I was not quite yet sold on the look, so I added some sheer polishes for more depth.
This might be my personal favorite in last month or so, and I could not wait to share it with you.
I am aware that my color choices were bit too close, but despite it all, I would not change a one thing here.
Best of all, it is Friday (YAY!), and all could think of is the rest... I can so easily imagine myself somewhere on the beach, or swimming with the sea turtles. You are more than welcome to join me on my beach - just imagine endless white sand beach and turquoise sea as far as you can see... waves that are breaking on the shore are like those meditation tapes, perfect cure for the sound pollution we are all exposed in our fast life.
Cheers!
