Needless to say, if I want color to be accurate, then my skin is unnaturally dark and orange... if I adjust the skin color, nail color is so washed out, it is barely any contrast there... This is some kind of a happy medium...
I actually attempted another trend - blush nails. Of course, I was doing them with neon colors... so crazily me! I started with Color Club Nail Lacquer - Wicker Park. This would be a soft neon, but they act like a legit, blinding neons against my skin.
With eye shadow applicator I applied neon orange pigment. This pigment is in my box for a couple of years, so I am not sure where I got it, but I am having a nagging suspicion that I purchased it from Born Pretty Store. I did not want this to be in the center of the nail like everyone was doing... I am special - I've done it in random pattern, more towards the corners of the nail.
When I was done, I sealed it with water based top coat. To add to the madness, I was doing it in the evening, so I can wear it to work next day. No pressure at all! LOL!
I painted sun and clouds, then I stamped the images from Clear Jelly Stamper - CjS-24 stamping plate.
All was finished with matte top coat.
Loved wearing this, even though, as I mentioned at the beginning, this was pain to photograph.
Last day of my holidays... kind of sad that is over. I could easily get used to this, unfortunately, there is still lots of mortgage left to be paid, so I have to go to work.
Enjoy your day.
Cheers!
