This is the first time for me to do this design, and I thought it was not so bad for the beginner, even though there is always room for the improvement.
My sheer pale pink base is Beyond The Nail - Kiss the Bride from the "Put a ring on it" collection. I had a pleasure of reviewing this collection while ago.
I used white and pink acrylic paint for the veins in the stone, even though at the time I thought I used too much of the pink... Thing is, pink gave this more dimension, and it looked so pretty in person.
I would do a little bit of veins, then I would add another layer of the sheer pink polish, and I done this in few layers, so some veins are more crisp, while others are just a suggestion of the vein or imperfection in the stone.
Over the last layer of the Kiss the Bride I added some tiny pieces of gold leaf. Trick is to add it in most random pattern, and I hope I achieved that. I purchased the container of this gold leaf in the local Dollar Store, and will last me a lifetime! I only use the smallest of the amounts, as little bit goes long way.
That was fairly easy design, and really there is no wrong way of doing it, and in my opinion it is best done with the thin brush.
On my ring finger I added a little gold shell stud, just because I have gazillion of them and most of the time I forget to use them. Little touch of gold makes this design so much prettier.
Simple designs are always the classiest ones, so I will just leave it at that.
Wishing you all most wonderful week ahead.
Cheers!
