Here I honor the veterans with the red poppy manicure. Poppies are summer flowers, and I tried to bring little bit of sunshine in this somber holiday, as without the sacrifices of many young man and woman our future would be pretty glum...
"In the Flanders Fields" was the poem written by Canadian physician lieutenant-colonel John Mccrae during WWI, and responsible for poppy as a symbol.
Here are first 2 verses: In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row .
Base is Masura - Ticket To The Summer - such aptly named polish. I love this shade of yellow on my nails.
I love poppies, and you can find some purple poppies that pop all over my garden, but my neighbor has a little patch of them planted outside his fence.
Love taking the photos of them, and I may or may not have plenty of the photos as a screen saver on my PC.
All images used are on Uber Chic - Woodland Chic 2 stamping plate, and I used several different stamping polishes here.
All was topped with matte top coat.
We had some incredible weather this year so far, and I hope to see some blue skies and sunshine just like we had yesterday. I might go outside and try to collect all the leaves in my back yard.
I wish all of you wonderful day.
Cheers!
