When I started with my nail art, I was never brave enough to try something really bold, so tone on tone was my go to kind of look - I would usually used one other shade, with really soft focus or contrast.
These days, I am not shy at all, love to mix and match the different colors, textures, finishes, and contrasts of all kinds. That said, I still like tone on tone on tone looks (see how I did that).
As a base, I used really decadent mauve by OPI - Lucky, Lucky Lavender. Such a pretty shade, and once again, I am guilty as charged for not using it as often as I could. Some of my drawers do not get open very often...
All images used here are on Flowers 001 stamping plate I purchased on AliExpress. I am really smitten with my new plates, and love to see what kind of the looks I can create with them.
I used five different purple polishes, and I really loved this look, even though I have to admit that this looked much better in my head. I used different brands, and different finishes, as I like to mix it all up and see what will came out.
In any case, I really loved the way thumb came out, and you can see it on the last photo.
It is not a secret that I love the purple, and that this color would be my tone on tone first choice.
I am also really glad that it is Friday, and that weekend is so close, that I think I can see it if I stand on my tippy toes. LOL!
I hope that at least one of you is somewhere under the palm trees, and if you are, give them a little wave from me.
Stay cool, stay hydrated and stay safe.
Cheers!
