This was done as a part of the collaboration...
Base is Maybelline - Purple Icon, one of the dozen or so polishes I picked up on the last grocery/polish shopping spree... Purple icon is wonderful plum shimmery polish, and applied without hitch. Full opacity was achieved in two thin coats.
Over the tips, I sponged some Steel City Reflection glitter named Doo Mee. This is glitter bomb that contain glitter in shades of purple, and few reds just for a good measure - no need to tell you I liked this combo.
I was hell bent to use my new DRK Nails - Mystic Ocean stamping plate, and this image of father winter was on the top. He was brewing some kind of the storm, but because Autumn just started, this would be just a wind storm, opposed to a blizzard.
I stamped his face first with purple, then with white, but for the rest of the nails, I reversed order, and I first stamped with Mundo de Unas - White, then with Hit the Bottle - I liliac it like that.
I love my clear jelly stampers (I have more than one) - they allow you to see where you place your image, which is so important with some of the images - like this one, that I managed to make to look like it is one continuous image...
What would purple storm be without some holographic polish (glitter was obviously not enough)... This was perfect opportunity to try my new Esmalte da Kelly - Orion. I used it to color in some of the wisps in the stamped pattern... This also gave it more depth...
I gently sponged just a little bit more of Doo Mee over the top of this.
All is topped with Seche top coat.
Photos are the first ones taken with my new lamp, and I am still getting used to idea of taking indoor photos again... It is hard to see sunny day, and take photos indoors...
I see this like a necessary evil, and it is good for me to get used to it before that is only thing I have for photos...
