My little later than usual post, just because my baby has a birthday today. Happy Birthday Daniel!
Wow... to be 15 again... maybe not. I love the age I am, and all the experiences that come with it. I could use less of some and more of the other, but all of those life's little lemons shaped me into strong woman I am.
I had to try this dry marble technique that I seen from Sveta Sanders. Looked so easy when she did it, but trickier when I tried it.
I painted thick, overlapping lines of polish on my mat, swirling those lines gently with the dotting toll. Now tricky part. Using a flat brush, you go underneath and scoop up the polish like with the spatula, then placing the same brush flat on the nail, and going opposite of the way you scooped polish to applied as undisturbed lines as you can. This should create stone like design. It did not look that bad for the first try, but then I added some studs, and kind of hidden the best parts... I will definitely re-visit this technique sometimes soon.
I used following polishes: Jessica - Sharktooth (white), Madam Glam - Gelementary - Arabella (lilac crème), China Glaze - Senorita Bonita (purple shimmer), Wet'n'Wild - Black Crème and Finger Paints - Rockin' Renaissaince (textured purple with gold glitters). I used last one to paint index and ring fingernail.
Even though there was a lots of room for improvement, I truly loved the way this looked. Now, don't you like the way I utilized my little plum tree in the photo shoot? LOL!
I am off to finish that birthday cake I was making.
Cheers!
