Thing is, I did this manicure couple of months ago, but just came around posting it. I wore it to work for couple of days, and was mesmerized by Purple Elfness. Even more amazing is that my coworker that does not polish her nails at all, knew this polish as soon as she seen it! Just to show you that this is so pretty in real life, it is literarily unforgettable.
I paired it with pale lilac crème from China Glaze - In a lily bit. I love that color, even though needed three coats to full opacity, but totally worth it. I thought this would be a nice base for a stamping. I settled on the image from Helen 11 stamping plate. This image is really big, and I actually split this image onto two nails.
To position the image, I used my clear jelly stamper. Actually, these days I use this stamper pretty much all the time. It is such an convenience to have a clear idea where my images are landing, and I may have some control issues... nicely way to say that I may be a control freak...
Stamping polish is LaFemme - Lilas, pretty purple shimmery stamping polish from Brazil, and I purchased it from DRK Nails.
I liked this tone on tone manicure, and reminded me of the times I started with stamping. I would not rock the boat, and would do just a really discrete, barely there stamping, pretty much tone on tone all the time.
It is so hot here right now, and local wild fires left us with a cloud of smoke that you can taste. Visibility is reduced, and I can not have any windows open... Stamping is not fun in the heat, as your polish dries on the stamper before you get to the nail, no matter how fast you are. That will make for a very frustrating process. Luckily, I do have plenty of unposted manicures that will eventually see the light of the day.
This is it from me today. Enjoy your day, and play safe.
Cheers!
