All of the kids in my boys class were excited about Jack-o-lantern, but my kids were excited about - pumpkin strudel! We would paint the pumpkins, and not carve them, so after Halloween, we would eat delicious pumpkin strudel. Tastes as good as pie, but I find it more rustic, and my whole family just love them...
With that happy memory, I am presenting you today's nail art choice.
Whole thing started with the Color Club - Stark Naked, one of the polishes from the many sets I picked up in local Winners. Love Color Club polishes, and even more when they are priced to be sold (7 polishes for $9.99 CAD) - I just can't walk away from the good deal when I see the one. Stark Naked is barely there nude, and is perfect for the nail art.
I 'muddied' the base by dabbing some of the Deborah Lippmann - Moon Rendezvous.
Last week I received my order from Beautometry, and one of the plates I ordered was new Dixie Plates - Autumn 03.
Today, I was interested in that layering pumpkin patch image, and I had to use it.
For stamping on the pumpkins, I used mix of Maniology - Maui Gold (yellow) and Pumpkin Head (oh, how appropriately named orange). On my middle finger, I first stamped just with orange, but looked so flat, I added yellow on the other nails. Then, I tried to stamp middle pumpkin again, but then I totally miss lined it... but it is what it is - It was getting late, and I did not have much time to redo it all. That is what happens when you do your nails in the evening to have the fresh set for the work in the morning... When shopping Maniology, use code SANJA10 to save 10%.
I tried different color combo for the leaves, but those colorst got lost in my shimmery 'muddy' background, so I had to double stamp them in a winning combination of Esmaltes da Kelly - Faisca (deep, olive green) and Hit the Bottle - Lucky spark (green holographic).
Considering how badly this started, I ended up loving the way this manicure looked in the end. Even more for the reason that I went with stamping on all 10 nails - full image nevertheless, which I did not do in a very long time.
Fact I did it, surprized even me! LOL!
Last couple of days we had some nice rain, that make everything looking like a real Autumn. Even though I love the slight cooling down, I have to admit, I am not quite ready to give up the nice weather. I know - who can please me!
Have yourself a wonderful day.
Cheers!
