I decided to go with Madam Glam - Baby Girl. Baby Girl is pretty, barely there sheer pink One step gel polish that was curtesy of Madam Glam. Because of the fact that is so sheer, it is perfect as a base for a French tip or negative space manicure. It is also perfect base for everyday wear for a natural look, or like me, to do some nail art on the top, without going to dry or discolor my natural nails. Every way you look at it, it is win-win situation.
I applied two thin coats and cured each 60 second under my LED lamp. I am always amazed by brilliant high gloss of gel polishes.
I will not post my usual swatch here, because I did million photos of this manicure, so I will do slideshow in a bit. That way I will not plaque you with all of them...
I am not really comfortable with bare nails look, even when my nails did not been discolored from excessive nail polish use... so I did covered this in nail art.
I did something similar already with this One step gel polish, and I did it again, just because I really like negative space/French tip manicures. I was not really sure where I would go from there, but I kept on plowing through it.
Using small piece of porous sponge, I applied white polish and was loving rough, almost like a sprayed textured look it created. I was really tempted to leave it this way, but knew it would drive me crazy as I would consider it unfinished manicure.
Stamping was in order, and I did not do lace design in a while, so I picked up my Born Pretty Store plate BPL-030 stamping plate, item #21816. You are welcome to my 10% discount code SHGK31 for all full priced items in the store.
First I stamped with Mundo de Unas - Black, and I wished I left it at this. At the time I was doing this manicure, it looked too stark, too much of the contrast, but when I looked at the photos, I knew that second layer of stamping was mistake... bit too late don't you think.
Well, it is what it is, I decided to stamp over this black lace with Maybelline - Bold Gold. Now, metallic polishes are not the best polishes to be used for double stamping, as they dry way too fast, and you are bound to loose some of the fine lines if you are not fast enough... keep in mind that you will need some time to align the images, and that may be easier with the straight forward images. Here I was picking images all over the place, and I had to keep it straight where I picked up the image from, and how did I orient it. I made one mistake here, and picked up similar part, but if you can't tell the difference, I will not point at it.
I topped everything with Seche top coat for gel like shine.
In this case, there is more photos to share with you...
I hope you will have wonderful week ahead.
Cheers!
