This particular one was part of the IG collaboration with tropical theme. You may notice that I am a part of many collaborations, possibly because I have no social life to interfere with all of them, and I am being a really good girl, and still trying to maintain some social distancing in my personal life. This allows me to be social at the safe distance, and pump my creative juices at the same time, so it is clearly win-win-win situation.
I like to switch it around every time a little bit, and today we are having something different for sure.
As a base, I used Color Club - Matte About You from their Matte-ified Metallics collection. I wanted to start with my idea as soon as polish dried, that I totally forgot to take the swatch photo. My bad!
Matte About You is green multi chrome polish that color shift from gold over green and teal to blue. It looks spectacular matte, and even more perfect is glossy. When your multi chrome is matted, it reminds me of the satin, or even better velvet. It is so pretty, and collection would suggest, it dries to a matte finish, and I am wearing 2 coats of the polish even tough it was pretty much fully opaque in one coat.
I decided to go all matte this time, just because I could.
Now, what I had in my head, and what actually happened here are two really different looks.
No matter what I imagined, as you will not see it, so I will tell you how I arrived at this...
Image I used is on MoYou London - Tropical - 18 stamping plate I had shown you on Friday. I just love every image on that plate, and this is third manicure I done using the same plate. That is the lot considering that most of my plates get one or two uses in span of time, so this is really speaking the volumes about how much I like images on this particular one.
First I stamped the images using the white stamping polish, and then I used some sheer nail polishes to fill in the images...
Added a matte top coat over the stamping to match other nails, and that was it. Pretty simple, and totally different from what I actually wanted to do.
Some days you win, some you slide, and this was totally slippery one. LOL!
Have yourself an amazing day.
Cheers!
