You can actually use acrylic paint to paint the pumpkin, as long as it is not exposed to the rain, as it will wash out the paint. I done that when my boys were little, then just washed the pumpkins, peeled the skin and used the pumpkin for the pie or strudel. I never really could get over such a waste of food as it is carving the pumpkins. I did not carve a pumpkin in my life, even though I've seen some really creative carvings by some really talented people.
Here I started with Color Club - Yes, of Quartz, sheer, shimmery, color shifty polish with strong pink flash, which I thought would be nice here.
I had it on all nails, but then I got carried away on middle and index and ended up covering it all together...
All was done freehand: On index and middle, I actually did a rough brush stroke in different colors, then added few white lines and black dots.
On ring finger, I freehand some pink pumpkins. Their color was more intense in person, but my camera just did not like the neon pink... and kind of mellowed down all the colors.
I really loved this, and I thought that it is totally appropriate for the breast cancer awareness month, as well as for the Halloween season, even though it is not carved, or especially spooky.
My first day back to work was really busy, but I loved it, my day flew, and I had everything done. Who can ask for more!
Have yourself a wonderful day.
Cheers!
