Talking about flamingos, they are recognizable by their recognizable vibrant color. Baby chicks are actually hatched with grey and white feathers, and takes them year or two to become their recognizable color. The color pink comes from beta-carotene in the crustaceans and plankton that flamingos eat. Zoo flamingos will turn white if their diet is not supplemented with live shrimp or flamingo chow containing carotenoid pigments. Diversity of fauna always amazed me.
Here, I imagined them against contrasting blue of the evening sky...
Pretty base is by LCN - Lilac Blossom. Love this color, and I did not used it in years. It was about time to pull it out. Over this pretty base, I painted some fluffy clouds.
For flamingo, I used layering image on Creative Shop - 133 stamping plate. I layered it little bit different on each bird, so we can say for the sake of the argument, that I have here male and female on their evening scroll.
I used several different polishes for stamping, and honestly, I am too hot and too lazy to list them all.
On purpose, I did not stamped the flamingos the same, but positioning them on the different heights, I hoped to create some sense of depth.
Have an amazing, quiet day.
Cheers!
