I did had a pet before, and really was not about to get a puppy... hubby had a different idea... He went into last hope sanctuary, and when he seen tiny dog in the furthest corner of the cage, covering and shivering, he knew that is the one he wanted. Both of us are always cheering for the underdog, and we saved this little one from the imminent death sentence.
That is how Princess came to live with us. She was abused, abandoned and then mistreated some more. She did not trust anyone, and was too terrified and traumatized to relax or fall asleep. First year we did not even hear the sound from her, so we assumed that she is mute... It was heart breaking, but lots of love and tender care from all of us slowly changed that.
Princess found her voice, came out of her shell, and is most loving, little dog. I could not ask for a better pet. She makes us laugh, she was there trying to comfort me when I was sad...
She is my little sidekick, and spends more time in my polish room than I do. I guess, lingering smell of nail polish reminds her of me, and that gives her a comfort while waiting for me to come home from work.
I did a manicure celebrating my little rescue that rescued me... my little Princess.
Super pretty base is Madam Glam - Anabella from the Gelementary collection, and one of personal favourites.
For stamping, I used Hit the Bottle - As Black As Night and I wish I was mermaid. My Princess is quirky one, so this color combo is super unique, just like her.
Image of word Princess is on Helen 15 stamping plate, and rest is on Uber Chic - Furry Best Friends.
Mind my super dry hands, I am in the middle of another home improvement project...
I also included couple of photos of my super photogenic Princess at the end.
Cheers to the pets!
