Gradient was done using following polishes:
Glisten & Glow - Apple Picking & Antiquing (red), Pumpkin Carving & Pale Ale (orange), Konad - Special Yellow and Bourjois - Adora-Bleu, all over Sally Hansen - Let's Snow (white) base. White will make all the colors much brighter.
Decided that I want to do Penguins off all things over this gradient, but I wanted just the right image...
Hmmm, it seems that penguin images are not as abundant in my plate stash as I thought they are... I have million panda images, and only handful of penguin ones...
I was getting pretty desperate, as I could not find what was I looking for, and then - BAM!
When I almost lost the hope, I found almost what I was looking for on the plate I least expected to find it. Had a double take, as I almost could not believe that I see Penguin Parade text and penguin image on - Australia themed stamping plate I purchased for kangaroo images...
Plate is Maniology - Around the World 2 BM-XL160.
I was actually lookin for the excuse to use this plate, so this was lucky break in more than one way,
I also used snowflake images and one more penguin from Uber Chic - Happy Christmas plate.
Stamping was done with another nod to Australia - with my trusty Hit the Bottle stamping polishes in As Black As Night and Snowed in.
I did gradient before I found the plate, but now even that made all the sense in the world, considering that there is the summer in Australia.
And... that little fella on my middle finger better hurry up, remove his sleeping hat and replace it with sun hat, because that promised Penguin Parade is just about to start!
Cheers!
