This is actually the manicure I am wearing for last 10 days or so, the gel manicure that I gave myself just before the surgery.
I started with one coat of Madam Glam - Canadian Winter, ivory colored milky gel polish over the gel base coat.
One day I was scrolling through the reels on IG, and there was one nail tech that showed super easy, mess free application of the shimmery powders, and I decided to try that technique here.
She actually placed some of the powder in a nail cleaning solution (I think), and here, I used a few drops of rubbing alcohol.
Once powder is in your solution, just mix it with the brush, and paint your nail. Give it couple of minutes for alcohol to evaporate, and with soft brush just brush off the excess. I also gave it the rub with my clean finger. Let me tell you, this was truly the easiest way to apply powders. Container was open for a few seconds, so no spills, no powder all over my desk, or myself, and most important of all, no bold patches at all! I have to try this over the regular polish, and see how it will work. I was really encouraged with this little success, I might try to do this again very soon.
All I needed is to seal this with no wipe gel top coat, and I was done.
Pearly effect was so pretty and so elegant. This is how I was wearing it all the time.
I just did a quick stamping manicure to try out my hand, and that was it. This is how the shimmer looked after all the time I wore it. Not tip wear, just a little bit of growth.
Images are on Mezerdoo - D-31 stamping plate, and for stamping I used: Konad - Orange Pearl; Colour Alike - Fuchsia Flash + Spun Sugar. I just added some dots using some cobalt blue polish for the more intersting look.
Back to work tomorrow, and I am at the same time excited and at unease... mixed feelings are my specialty.
Have a nice rest of the week.
Cheers!
