That may be the reason why I have maybe three paisley manicures in last four years... yes I just run in opposite direction when it comes to this design. Really close second is mandala... really bad with these two.
When I finished this one, I was like WOW! Look at me going here! I absolutely loved the results.
Let me start from the beginning.
I started with yellow base. I must of have loved this polish so much, as I ended having a two bottles. One is by Orly - Melodious Utopia, and other one is Quo by Orly (made by Orly sold in one drugstore chain in Canada) named - Little Miss Sunshine. Because they have totally different names, so I purchased both... on a different occasions of course...
Fact that I have two bottles speaks volumes, especially from the person that paint her nails yellow few times a year!. You can't even tell that one nail is painted with different polish. they all looked identical. For some reason, there is difference in the brush - I preferred one in Quo by Orly - it is wider and slightly flatter than skinny round brush in Orly polish
That said, formula is bit thin, so polish is on the sheer side, so I had to apply three coats for full opacity. I will have to remember to wear some pale yellow or white polish under next time.
For images, I used acrylic plate I purchased on Ali Express ages ago, but use it rarely, because I have a hard time seeing the images on it. They made plate semi transparent, and I just glaze over them (yes, I have more than one...) when I am looking for the images. Plate is XY-K18.
For stamping, I used DRK Nails - Extra Black. Black and yellow is quite harsh color combo, and I decided to play on that pink flash, and I add some pink. You probably guessed that I would not go for the pastel tone... color of the choice was La Femme - Rosa, from Neon Fest collection.
I was iffy about this manicure when I started, but was more than happy when I finished.
Now, I want to do more of this, in every color combination possible. I think I created the monster. LOL.
I hope that this will brighten your day as much as it did mine.
Cheers!
