When things do not go my way, I just keep on adding, in hope that eventually I will arrive at the destination...
That is what happen here. I had really simple look in mind, but then in my usual fashion things quickly escalated, and then I did not know how, or when to stop. That is my friends how you go over the top! LOL! In my defense, better over the top, then over the edge!
That was the best outcome for the manicure in which everything was going wrong. I opened bottle of base coat, and took forever to dry. Chances are, this base coat would not be used again. Then some of the polishes I used were not as opaque as I hoped they would be, and I had to go back, which prolonged drying time, and made surface uneven. All that caused me to dinge it every time I move, and I would smudge it and had to "fix" it too many times to count. Now all of this times two, as I had this on both my hands.
On the last photo you can see my thumb, and I absolutely loved the way that one came out.
I used following polishes: OPI - Act your Beige! (sheer nude base on middle and ring finger); Color Club Nail Lacquer - Swipe Left (cherry red creme); Polished for Days - Sea-ing is Believing (pink flakie) and Never Mind Apothecary - Hellequeen ( black with red glitter + flakies).
I also used black and white polishes as well as striping brush and dotting tool for the art.
After all the troubles, I did not have energy to change it, and this stayed on my nails for few days.
It actually grew on me, and ended up being hard to let go.
Isn't it funny how things tend to end up like that.
We are at the middle of the week, and I am seriously thinking what kind of birthday cake I will bake for one of my son's birthday in few days...
Have an amazing day everyone.
Cheers!
