Second prompt for What's Up Nails challenge is ombre (gradient) stamping.
This is not a new technique for me - I just forget to use it. From time to time I do remember, and then I do few manicures in a row, but then something else catches my attention.
For today's manicure, I reached in my untried box, and I pulled polish that is waiting at least couple of years for me to try it. Polish is China Glaze - Fa-La-Ah-Ah-Ahhh!
It was on the sheer side, so I applied 3 coats and top coat. That shimmer is dazzling! As you can see, I have a tiny bottle of this polish, and it is enough for several manicures.
Images used are on Lina - Twirls & Swirls 02 stamping plate.
For images, I used Hit the Bottle polishes in following shades: Bubblegum Bliss (pink), Blueberry Dewdrops (blue) and Lapis of the Gods (purple).
Have to admit, I was obsessed with this manicure. I wore it to work for three days, and during that time I could not take my eyes off of my hands. I almost cried when I had to remove it, but as I said, have a swatch marathon going on at the moment, so this manicure had to go.
My colors are soft, and on photos there is not much contrast, but in person it would change depending on light - in direct light base would take the front stage, but in the indirect light, stamping was more dominant.
Even my coworkers commented on them. My photos did not do it any justice I am afraid.
Just wanted one more time to wish all of you a wonderful weekend.
Cheers!
